Top Three Favouite Things. Ever.

My top three favourite things in the world.

My top three favourite things in the world are, my mom, Africa, and music..

In my eyes, every child (good or bad) deserves a mom. My mom is my favourite person. I can tell her most things, and always depend on her. She may not always like the music I am into, but will bear through it. Most times. My mom and I both share a great love for tennis. We may not always be cheering for the same player, but will always agree that Rafael Nadal is the best. My mom also makes the best potato soup in the world, and will make me salmon when I ask her to. My mom and I are also alike in many ways. Other than the fact that we look alike, we both love to travel and like the simpler things in life. We both like summers more than winters, and would rather eat chocolate than anything else. Whenever I am sick or had a rough day, my mom will buy me mini eggs. She knows that they are my favourite and will make me feel a little bit better about the day I have had. I don't think I will ever be able to go with out my mom. With out her, my room would be messy, I would probably not eat (because I am too lazy to make food that's good for me), the cat sand wouldn't be clean, my toes wouldn't always have paint on them (we go for pedicures every now and again), and I wouldn't be able to say I have the best mom in the world.

I probably wouldn't have been half the person I am today with out Africa. Actually I probably wouldn't be a person without Africa. Africa makes you appreciate life. It makes you realize how nice having a bed is. Africa makes me feel completely at peace. Never will I ever go with out Africa. I have only been to South Africa and Botswana, but I go and visit often ever since I moved from there eleven years ago. When I am there, there is nothing that can bother me. My favourite part are the people, and as bratty as it may sound the services. You can be driving down the middle of a busy street, stop at the red light, and someone will be selling fruits, hangers, flowers, t-shirts, sunglasses, etc. at your window. When I was in Botswana at the Haina Lodge, I would wake up at five, go to the lodge at six and I would know there is breakfast. And not just cereal, freshly brewed coffee, juice, fresh out of the oven muffins, hot porridge, bacon, toast, you name it. When you come back from your safari trip, that when the real eating happens. Then you can sit down, and really eat. There they will ask you how you would like to have your egg and bring it to you, as soon as it is ready. Best part, you don't have to clean up. This was the same with lunch, and dinner was even better. Even though we mostly ate dinner past eleven o'clock. In South Africa, an average middle class family has a servant and most likely some type of garden service. So you can always know that your clothes will be clean and ironed, you bed will be made, and dinner will be good.

Music is easily the thing that most people can't live without. Music is everywhere we go. Music can be the sound of your fingers hitting the buttons down on the keyboard, or the sound of birds outside your window. Music can be anything  you want it to be. I personally don't like country, but there are many other people who do. There isn't much to say about music, because it can speak for itself. It can make a sad moment happy. Music can show your real emotions, and be a companion when you need something to listen to.

These top three favourite things of mine weren't based on anything really. I just knew that I wouldn't be the same person I am today with out them. These three things effect me mostly in my daily life, and will never not be my favourite things. They are the most permanent and constant things in my life, and always will be.

Historical Movement

In my opinion, and in many other's the world isn't perfect. Everywhere in the world there are a lot of atrocious events that need to be dealt with. With the help of groups like Red Cross, many NGOs and selfless acts of some people we can succeed through the big struggle, and get back to 'normal'. Even though these events may take lives of someone's sibling, parent, or beloved friend, these events may also lead us to new discoveries, and by giving up some of our time or giving some pocket change, can possibly help change the world. I think that many people are who they are becuase of great events. For example, the Titanic. If the Titanic didn't happen, we probably wouldn't have made new technology to improve boats. Without the Titanic there might've been no Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio. Even though this is a small example, the world is the world today because of these events. Its like a domino effect. If you take out a domino, who knows what will happen. Will the world take a whole new direction? Would you have even been born?
